Trail Description
The Gandy Dancer ATV Trail System (South section) begins in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin and continues 47 miles to Danbury, Wisconsin. This portion of Gandy Dancer is a winter trail that provides riders with a laid-back, relaxing ride along an old railroad grade that runs through many towns between St. Croix Falls and Danbury.
Along this trail, you will pass through the cities of Centuria, Milltown, Luck, Frederic, Lewis, Siren, and Webster. This works out very well as there are plenty of places to stop for gas, food, or just to warm up! While this trail is mostly straight and flat, the towns scattered along the way make it a great trail to spend the day enjoying a nice relaxing ride with plenty of places to stop and enjoy one another's company while warming up and filling your stomach.
If this 47 mile stretch of trail is not enough, you can continue on from Danbury and head North for another 51 miles, taking you all the way to Superior, WI. All in all, that makes it a 98 mile ride, so you could consider making it a nice full weekend ride and really get some miles in.
